You are kindly invited to explore some interesting forms of world music from the heart of Europe a part of fruitful musical activities performed by top class Slovak artists.

Preßburger Klezmer Band belongs to leading klezmer bands in Europe, adding flavours of Slovak folklore, elements,Balkan music, jazz, latino, and reggae to klezmer. In 2012 they won Radio_Head Award for the best album of the year in the category world music in Slovakia.

Muzička presents Slovak folkloric music and dance in an authentic form. If you explore their work, first and foremost you will find folklore in its original and purest form – smooth as little as possible, kitschy, institutionalised, a means national conscienceness.The show will be livened up by dancers.

Acoustic Gangsters is a music project of guitarist Peter Luha and mandolinist Jozef Scheiner. The concert will include compositions from successful instrumental albums Viaje del Alma and Perinmama. Also featuring a top-notch Slovak bass guitarist Juro Griglák and percussionist Dino de Valeria. Viaje del Alma – nominated for the best instrumental album of the year in the 12th annual Independent Music Awards, won the award Harvest Prize in the 6th annual Tais Awards 2012. Perinmama – the only Slovak album and one of few albums from Europe which was released by Acoustic Oasis – the label of mandoline legend David Grisman.

Banda is a top class Slovak world music band which has been on the scene for more than 10 years. The core essence of their repertoire is Slovak folkloric music, which they passionately blend with music of other nations and other genres. Their music has reaped success in abroad, which is proved by their achievements in the renowned World Music Charts Europe. The album hraBanda reached number 14 in January 2015 and their first album Banda jedna ended up at number 8 in October 2011.
